John Jackson, retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Army, has set a goal of photographing every Civil War veteran's grave in Kansas by 2011, the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. As his project progresses, photos of each gravesite are being posted to this website on Flickr.
John has also posted more than 800 obituaries and biographies of Civil War veterans on this page.
