Roots Television, the website which has hosted a wide array of video segments pertaining to genealogy and family history, is coming to an end. According to the notice posted by Megan Smolenyek, the mastermind behind Roots Television, the site was founded to help fill a void - the lack of a special television channel dedicated to the interests of genealogists.
Although we still do not have our own TV channel, Megan sees the recent launch of several new family history programs on national television (Faces of America, and the upcoming Who Do You Think You Are?) as stepping in to fill the void.
Thus, Roots Television will be ending March 10th. If there are video segments out there that you have been meaning to view, be sure to do so before the site closes.
